L'oreal Skin Perfection BB VS. CC - The Winner

and the winner is... THE BB!

about a week ago I mentioned in this post that I've got the new BB and CC cream from L'oreal and shared my first impressions from each product.
After a full week of using both I think that the BB is better for my skin and needs.

I absolutely love the dewy look it leaves on my skin, It's so lightweight which makes it perfect for summer time.
It covers imperfections well enough for a BB and gives me an even skin tone.

It doesn't clog pores and gives a very natural look to the face, it blends into the skin evenly and effortlessly.

The scent is very subtle and doesn't irritate and it has SPF 25 which is a must for the summer time.
It's very hydrating and you can skip using an additional moisturizer.

The only downside is that it's available only in 2 shades: Fair & Medium. So not everyone can find their right shade.

L'oreal Skin Perfection - BB VS. CC - First Impressions

In our 20's and 30's the skin is still young but not always perfect. Stress, fatigue and an unbalanced lifestyle can affect our skin's quality causing irregularities to appear like imperfections, enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture.

The skin perfection line has the correction skin effect that helps achieve an even skin tone and glow, and help to combat those imperfections. It's targeted for women between ages 25-35.

I've got two of their new products that finally arrived to Israel:  the BB Cream & the Perk-Up Cream (CC).

as with my previous post about the skin perfection moisturizer (Read Here) I'm going to split this post into two parts as well.
In this post I'll give you my first impressions from my first use of both products.
On the second post, within a week of regular use, I'm going to pick up my winner.

THE SKIN PERFECTION BB CREAM

what the product promises:
New Skin Perfection BB Cream, with SPF 25. The 5 in 1 Blemish Balm, helps protect the skin from premature skin ageing caused by UV rays.
The tinted lightweight formula perfects complexion for a healthy-looking glow.

The BB is very lightweight indeed it smooths onto the skin quite lovely.
The texture is perfect, not too thick and not too light. I tried using a brush with it but I've noticed my fingers did a better job in blending the BB into the skin.

I used it on it's own without applying an extra moisturizer. It's moisturizing and contains SPF so double points for that alone.

The scent is very subtle like the other creams in the line, it's not overwhelming or irritating.

The coverage is light as well, it does give you an even skin tone and very dewy look, which I love.
But if you have breakouts, spots or other impurities you'll need to use a concealer as well.

SKIN PERFECTION PERK-UP CREAM
what the product promises:
New Skin Perfection Anti-Fatigue Perk Up Cream instantly reduces the appearance of signs of fatigue, dark circles are concealed and complexion looks fresh and glowing.
Daily 24hr moisture kick, skin looks fuller, plumper. SPF 20 helps protect skin from damaging UV rays.

L'oreal is marketing the perk up cream as a CC cream in Israel. It reminds me of Nude Magique CC cream also by L'oreal. It also contains micro beads that when blended react to your skin tone and give a tint.

The CC is very moisturizing, it's also lightweight skin looks dewy and the scent is subtle.

Coverage is too light for my taste, I didn't feel like it gives me any coverage. So I think marketing this cream as a CC is incorrect. It doesn't have a Color Correcting affect like other CC creams have. I would recommend this indeed as a daily moisturizer it contains SPF and gives the skin a nice glow and fresh look. Perfect for fighting dull complexion, and the appearance of tiredness.

Side by Side
I liked them both I will continue using them for the next week to decide which one I like more.

L'oreal - Color Riche 30 Years Lipstick - Review

One of my favorite makeup brands, L'oreal, is celebrating 30 years of iconic lipsticks from the Color Riche line.
In honor of the celebrations L'oreal added 14 new shades to the collection!
The lipsticks range in different finishes: satin and matte.

I've got two of the satin shades:
  • 135 Dahlia Insolent
  • 136 Flamingo Elegance

136 Flamingo Elegance - Light Pinky shade

135 Dahlia Insolent -  Dark Berry shade

Here are the swatches of both colors, as you can see both of the colors are quite pigmented.
The perfect wash of color.
The dark tones can seem very dark out of the tube but when applied they are more lighter in shade.
So keep that in mind when choosing your colors.

My favorite is the Flamingo Elegance. It's the perfect pink for the everyday make up look.
The formula is very rich, hydrating on the lips and pretty long lasting.
The only con is the scent I don't really like it , it's quite sweet but plasticy.
I don't mind it that much cause it doesn't linger.

Overall, L'oreal nailed it! the price is affordable but yet very comparable to the high end lipsticks.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturizer- Full Review

Hi All,
a few weeks back I mentioned my first impressions of the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection  Day Moisturizer:

So as promised here's my updated review after using the product for awhile. I'm going to review the product on the following parameters: skin texture, skin tone and lines appearance.

Skin Texture my skin type is mostly dry but oily in my T zone area. In the winter time I get dry patches all over especially on my nose, forehead and around the mouth.
It gets even worse when traveling (which I do frequently because of my job).
This product SAVED my skin without a doubt, from the first use I noticed a significant improvement in my skin's texture. It was soft, not flaky, radiant and overall looked so much healthier and full of moisture.

Skin Tone my skin tone is pretty fair and I don't have hyper pigmentation or significant redness.
But, my skin tone is not perfect and I do get red spots here and there around my nose and mouth area. So, anything that promises to improve my skin tone sound good to me. I did notice less redness after using it for quite awhile, and I do like how my skin feels and looks. and, it's a great base for your foundation. everything just looks so much better with it.

Lines I'm in my mid-twenties so I don't suffer from any apparent lines but I was always told that anti-aging is important to avoid that mess in the future so better start early! keeping your skin moisturized is the key for preventing wrinkles. and this product does a great job. it's super rich and moisturizing. I also use it on my neck, don't neglect that area it's prone to wrinkles as well.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturizer - Review - First Impressions

Hi All,
Today I wanted to share with you my first impressions about a new product by L'Oreal:
The skin perfection day moisturizer.
I have received this product for a self-assessment test for the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection the other day so I've been using it straight for 3 days.

What the product promises:
"New Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser helps transform the appearance of skin quality, as if perfected. Pores look virtually undetectable, tone looks more even, skin texture feels silky-soft."
Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser

Sounds very promising! I do feel like my skin texture wouldn't mind a bit of "perfection".
I would like my pores to be less noticeable and a more even skin tone.

I've been traveling for work to the US to a very cold climate, it was freezing and my skin had a lot of dry patches here and there and overall a very dull looking complexion. I wasn't even able to put on foundation because it made my dry patches even worse and more noticeable.

This moisturizer saved me! From the first use I felt it was quite thick and very rich. It gave me just the right amount of moisture without making me feel oily.
The scent is very subtle and fresh, I enjoy using it in the morning under my makeup and at night after I remove my makeup.

Dry patches are completely gone, it doesn't irritate my skin and my foundation applies smoothly over it. Regarding skin tone and pore appearance I don't see any difference so I will post an update in about a week.

And I can't finish without a word about the packaging. It is quite fancy looking, looks like a luxury product and super girly, I love how it looks on my vanity- big thumbs up :)
