Skinfood - Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream - Review

Continuing with my K-Beauty kick for reviewing more and more pore related products comes this interesting Cream, Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream from the brand Skinfood. As I mentioned before everything that promises to smooth pores I buy immediately without second thoughts. So no exceptions here :)

The Fresh Apple has a full range of products. Besides this cream you can find also: Serum, Emulsion, Toner, Sunscreen, Peeling Gel, Emulsion & Toner for Men, and Sun Pact.

What the product promises:
A cooling and hydrating fresh unripe green apple extract and carbonated water that controls sebum production and tightens pores.

Skinfood - Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream - Review

Directions of use:
After emulsion or serum application, dispense an ample amount onto the palm and smooth over oily areas and enlarged pores.

I don't know about the cool feeling but it definitely feels nice on the skin. I do feel it's smoothing out my skin when applying it on. I apply it on my T-Zone area, where I get oily and have visible pores.

This cream has a very subtle scent of apples it doesn't linger and I love it. The consistency of the product is quite thick and feels more like applying a primer than cream. I don't find it very moisturizing, so I recommend putting a moisturizer before using this cream.

Skinfood - Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream - Review

As for the look of pores, I didn't see any change in their visibility. It didn't look like it minimized or tightened them or did anything. I will just say that it does mattify the skin. But it doesn't act as a primer I didn't see any changes in the longevity of my foundation with this cream.

Overall, It is very affordable product, but still I'm not impressed with it. I will use it up but I will not be repurchasing it. So my search for the holy grail continues...

Batiste - Dry Shampoo - Review

I've mentioned a few times in the past that I don't wash my hair every day and it's "trained" not to get oily so fast. I believe my method is more healthy for your hair and it's not so hard to get that perfect hair you want. If you've missed my previous post about my hair care routine where I explain the benefits of not washing you hair daily, you can read all about it here .

One of the key products that help me maintain that routine and give me a good hair day every day is the Dy Shampoo from Batiste.

what the product promises?
THE PERFECT QUICK FIX FOR GORGEOUS LOOKING HAIR.
Instantly refresh your hair to leave it looking clean and fresh with added body and texture.
A quick burst can extend your blow dry, free up time in the morning or add life to you hair whenever, wherever it needs it.

Batiste dry shampoo has 7 different scents you can choose from:
  1. Blush - Feminine scent, floral, and flirty.
  2. Fresh - Contemporary scent, its cool & crisp notes make this a unisex scent that can be used by men as well.
  3. Original - The classic and original scent.
  4. Tropical - Caribbean scent with coconut aromas and party vibes.
  5. Cherry - Cherry is for anyone that loves their look sweet, smooth and full of luscious retro flavour. It has a rich cherry scent.
  6. Oriental - Warm delicately fragranced product. With hints of fruit, flowers and rich coconut.
  7. Floral - Feminine scent has floral fusion with summery scent.
My Favorite out of the bunch is Tropical I love the strong coconut scent.

A few quick sprays instantly leaves hair feeling clean, fresh and full of body and texture. It’s the ideal way to freshen up your hair between washes, whilst making hair feel thicker too!
After using this in the mornings I do feel like my hair is clean, fresh and full of body and texture and there’s no need for water!

how to use:
The first thing that I do when I wake up is to spray it into roots while sectioning the hair and keeping the nozzle about 30cm from my head ,working all over. I leave the product to absorb, initially you have a bit of a white cast but it will go away once it absorbs the oils from the hair.
I continue regularly with my morning routine and get back to my hair before I leave the house for the day. I massage through with fingertips to ensure roots are fully covered this the product and all the white cast is gone. Then I Brush through hair from roots to ends to remove excess residue and style as I like.

I also keep one in my gym back to freshen up the hair after intensive workouts :)

You can now get Batiste in Israel at the local drugstores.

The Face Shop - Blackhead Out White Clay Nose Pack- Mask Review

This post is joining my mask series that I have started last month on the blog.
This is the 4th mask I'm reviewing for you guys,
You can check the previous reviews here:
This nose pack mask is coming from yet another Korean brand, because I'm all about the K-Beauty :)
The Face Shop is a Korean brand that I'm only now discovering. It's very popular on the market but I have no idea why it took me so long to try any of their products.

The Blackhead out is actually a full range of products besides this white clay mask you can find also nose strips, cleansing foam and gel oil. So obviously for the best results it's recommended to use the all line of products.

The Face Shop - Blackhead Out White Clay Nose Pack- Mask Review
What the product promises:
A Perfect cleansing line effective for removing blackheads and dead skin cells.
Peel-off type of blackhead nose strip Formulated with volcanic clay, this purifying nose pack helps to clarify the skin by removing blackheads and impurities.

It leaves the skin soft and clean!

This mask acts just like any other nose strip to remove blackheads. The only difference is the application. I don't recommend using it as a full face mask! apply it only on your nose and chin! The reason is that it's very very sticky and may pull out hair from your face , sort of like waxing.

Directions of use:
Apply an even layer on the nose area. Leave on 10 to 15 minutes or until completely dry.
Gently peel off from outer edges.

I apply this mask using a synthetic brush with hard bristles because I find it easier that way, the mask is very sticky and it makes just things easier, faster and the application is even.
This mask is very similar to the Missha one that I reviewed here. But since buying this one my Missha one was completely neglected.

The Face Shop - Blackhead Out White Clay Nose Pack- Mask Review

I love the scent, it's very floral gentle, it dries super quick and the peeling also is very easy. You should apply a good layer of the product not too thin but not too thick and make sure to rub in deep. Once the mask is completely dry you'd want to peel it very slowly and gently. while peeling off the mask you should notice some of the blackheads peeling off with it.

After using this mask I do feel like I deep cleansed my pores, but still like all other nose strips I don't really see any difference or an impact on the blackheads situation. I did notice it removed some of the blackheads but not completely so I'm yet again disappointed.

I will continue using it but I won't be repurchasing this one. Maybe other people will see more of an impact but personally for me it's a pass.

If you're interested in trying it out, it's super affordable and you can buy it here.
