SeboCalm Active Treatment Moisturizer & Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin - First Impressions

SeboCalm is an Israeli based company that was founded by pharmacists in the early 90's. The company focuses on solutions for people with sensitive skin, as beauty products with healing properties are a necessity, more than a luxury for many. 

Their products proved to be very effective among those who suffer from seborrhea and dandruff among the general population. Besides products for sensitive skin they launched other lines such as Calm Innovation for anti-aging, Calm Young for treating acne and Calm Triple that combines moisturizer, sun block and light make-up.

I've been dealing with some redness and other skin sensitivities. I've been breaking out more often than usual and my skin has been "acting out" and irritated easily. So it was the perfect opprtunity to change up a few skin products to test their affect on my skin. 

I'm going to break this post into 2 parts: the first is the first impressions after a few days of use, and the second will be a full review after a month of use. 

SeboCalm Active Treatment Moisturizer - what the product promises?

If your skin is sensitive\red\irritated or if you suffer from seborrhea this treatement is for you.

I've been using it for a week now and I love it. I love how light it is and how it absorbs quickly and the skin is not greasy and it doesn't clog my pores. Also, I do see an approvement in the areas of the face where I suffer from redness, like the nose area. I do like how it preps the skin before foundation. 

It is still moisturzing enought on its own and the packaging is very convinient. 

Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin- what the product promises?

Gentle facial cleanser, suitable for sensitive, irritated skin and redness. Based upon an innovative formula containing sulfate-free ingredients (SLS free), manufactured from cornmeal and coconut known for their beneficial qualities. Contains environmentally friendly ingredients allowing daily use, without causing a feeling of dryness or irritation. 

The cleanser effectively removes makeup, dirt and oily shine, leaving skin soft, clean and refreshed. Enriched with seaweed to soften skin and maintain skin elasticity, and concentrated chamomile flower essence to soothe skin. 

Suitable for all skin types.

This has become one of my favorite cleansers for when you want to just remove all makeup and gunk and go to sleep witout worrying about extra steps like makeup remover and toner etc :)

 I really like how it removes most of your makeup without irritating the eyes or the skin, It is very gentle and smells wonderfall. 

I will continue using this products to see how they help with the breaking out issue, and if the redness doesn't return and really put it out for a test. In a month I will write a more detailed review.

Innisfree - Green Tea Seed Serum - Review

Innisfree is another Korean beauty brand that I'm beginning to get familiar with. at the end of 2015 a lot of k-beauty bloggers began posting their favorites for the year and this buddy right here was a star in almost every post I read. So obviously I couldn't pass the chance to get my hands on it to try it myself and see what's all the hype about.

The Green Tea Seed is a full range of products from Innisfree. Besides this serum you can find also: Face cream, Face Oil, Eye Cream, Deep Cream.

What the product promises:
A moisturizing serum with organic Jeju green tea and green tea seeds that hydrate your skin from deep within!

Directions of use:

Jejudo Island is located in the southwest of the Korean peninsula. Volcanic activity has rendered the soil of this island very fertile, and it is suitable for the cultivation of Green Tea. Jeju Green Tea is well known for its pristine quality and rejuvenating property.

Green Tea contains Collagen, which is the reason for the elasticity of our skin. With the help of Jeju Green Tea we can achieve a glowing skin. Also, it is used regularly in an anti-aging creams for reducing fine lines, brightening dark circles around the eyes, firming the skin, and in prevention and treatment of acne.

The Serum should be the first step after cleansing your skin. The first time I used it I immediately loved the scent. It has a subtle chamomile, green scent that reminds me of a relaxing spa. I absolutely love putting this on in the morning it instantly makes me feel more awake and stress free. It has this nice cooling effect on the skin when you use it.

The texture is quite liquidy it applies and absorbs to the skin effortlessly. I like patting the product into the skin instead of just rubbing it around. I find this method more effective in locking the moisture in.

The skin feels more soft and glowing without looking shiny or greasy. It moisturizes the skin just enough as preparation for your moisturizer. You can use it daily, morning and night and it's suitable for all skin types, but especially oily skin. It doesn't clog the pores and doesn't break you out. It's not over moisturizing and is super light on your skin and doesn't feel heavy at all.

It's a very affordable product and it's no surprise that it's a best seller in Korea. It justifies the name it gained completely. I will continue combining this product in my routine and I can see it already as a staple product.

When it comes to brushing your teeth, Colgate 360° Gold Charcoal Toothbrush does the trick to give you a superior whole mouth clean.

Yes it's a toothbrush. A gold in color classy toothbrush. Isn't it amazing? 

This is the latest 360 Gold Charcoal toothbrush within the 360 range.

TONYMOLY - Panda’s Dream Brightening Eye Base - Review

Can you tell how much I love Tonymoly? it seems all I want to try out is more tonymoly products.
Maybe it's the irresistible packaging or the very affordable price that keeps attracting me. But I just can't get enough.

Who understands dark circles better than pandas? :) The packaging just sold me right there, so cute!

What the product promises:

Silky type eye base for bright eyes with flower scent. Brightens, moisturizes, clears, and covers dark and blemished skin. Contains haloxyl gooseberry extract.
A stick-style concealer, this light and creamy base brightens your under eye area for a healthy, refreshed appearance. Dot under your eye and gently smooth to cover.

Gooseberry has a high antioxidant content also known under the name Amla, it's a super fruit which helps to prevent Oxidative stress (=imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract or detoxify their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants) and degradation of skin proteins. It also enhances the firmness of the skin and prevents skin ageing.
The extract of amla is rich in Vitamin A. This vitamin is essential in collagen production, a compound that keeps the skin looking young and elastic.

haloxyl helps treat dark circles under the eyes. it is formulated to target and absorb the pigment present in the blood that is responsible for color; which, when applied to dark circles, can fade them with repeated use. Haloxyl is also designed to increase the firmness in the skin around and under the eye, which may lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well.

Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base is a cult favorite from Korea. it has a light and creamy base which brightens the under eye area for a healthy, refreshed appearance.

Directions of use:

Apply on dark circles and blemishes around the eyes - Tap in for absorption. 

I bought this because I have dark circles and sometimes a bit puffy eyes from lack of sleep. I love tonymoly products and I really wanted to try this one out. 

I use this every morning under my eyes before applying my concealer. I do use an eye cream before applying any makeup on. So this doesn't come as a replacement for a moisturizer. It has a very thick texture, and sticky. So you need to gently pat it under your eyes with your fingers to warm the product in order to blend it to the skin.

The product itself is a white paste so make sure to blend it or it will look weird.  I'm not sure how this will work on darker skin tones but on my pale self it blends seamlessly. In my opinion this is not a magical product or a miracle worker. With that said I will admit that it covers some of the darkness. I don't know if it's the good ingredients inside or just the fact that it's so white.

I apply this also on spots that I have and breakouts. I find that it cancels the red pigment quite well and a a good base similar to the color correcting concealers that you can find in other makeup brands.

I was applying it under the eyes and also on my eyelids I was wondering if it will serve as a good primer. But unfortunately it creases like crazy! so use it under the eyes, apply concealer and don't forget to set it with some kind of powder if you don't want it to settle into creases. If you're thinking of using it on its own with no makeup, prepare to check your face frequently to make sure that there are no creases.

If you have really bad dark circles, or mature skin this probably won't do much but if it isn't too bad and you need a little bit to brighten the eyes, it is a good product for that purpose.

Rashel Cosmetic - Full Product Review

As promised I've been using Rashel's products for the past 2 weeks and now I have a solid opinion and I can honestly share my experience. 

If you missed my introduction to the brand you can read it in my previous post right here. 

so let's begin :)

The Aromatic Eye Serum is very oily but still absorbs quite quickly. At the beginning I used it day & night but then I started noticing that my mascara (which is waterproof by the way) smears on me through out the day. It took me a few days to make the connection between this serum to the smudging issue. But I stopped using it in the morning and now I use it only at night. 

I guess the oil itself was just too heavy around my eyes and probably it was causing my mascara to ware off. For me it's not a big deal I just use it at night for extra moisture and nutrition to the eye area.  as for puffiness I won't define it being an issue for me in the past but I can say that I do look well rested and it might be the cause. I didn't notice any improvement in my dark circles thought.

Will I buy this? For me it's a pass I don't find it that necessary for my skin. This one out of the 3 was the most heavy scented and I dislike it. I also don't like the oily feeling I have on my eyes until it absorbs. 

The Aromatic moisturizer with SPF is a true winner in my book. I absolutely love it! it's very hydrating om my skin, I love that it has SPF 30 and I don't need to add anything else to my routine in the morning. It's very light weight and absorbs quickly to the skin without making it shiny or oily. My face feels very hydrated and smooth. And overall I love that it help with the discoloration and I use less concealer thanks to that. 

Plus, I forgot to apply it one day and I had difficulties applying my foundation, it just looked "cakey" and uneven. Around noon the foundation was completely rubbing off and I had dry patches all over. 

Will I buy this? So bottom line, absolutely, it's an amazing moisturizer ,great base for the foundation. I see it becoming a staple in my routine, a true star.

The Aromatic Eye Cream is no exception a real winner as well. I love the texture, and how gentle it is. Perfect for Day and Night use. I feel like it help combat fine lines, keeps the eye area moisturized all day long. My concealer applies beautifully and smoothly. It doesn't cake up and overall great product indeed.

Will I buy this? Yes, for its price it's very affordable and it's a big size for an eye cream (30 ml=1 oz) and a little bit goes a long way. So it's going to last for a very long time. I only wish it had some properties to help with dark circles as well. Other than that a star in my book.

Rashel Cosmetic - First Impressions

It's been awhile since I've done a first impressions post. So when I got one of the Rashel's skin care kit I thought of the opportunity to share with you guys my first impressions of their products.

So like all my previous posts I'm going to split the review into two parts, first part will go over the product details and my initial thoughts. The second one will be an update after 1-2 weeks of use and my favorite 2 stars :)

So let's begin! The kit they sent me has an eye cream, eye serum and sunblock cream.

Aromatic Eye Serum

This serum is rich in vitamins, plant extracts and natural active oils enriched with restorative properties. The serum was optimized for the thin skin around the eyes. 

What the product promises:

Light texture that is easily absorbed. Especially effective for firming and restoring the skin and gives it moisture ,nutrients and removes waste. The serum treats dryness and wrinkles around the eyes, puffiness and dark circles. Daily use will give the skin a more vibrant and youthful look.

Suitable for all skin types.

For me this product is quite unique I didn't have anything like that before. The texture is liquidy and quite oily. You do need a very small amount to cover the entire area of the eyes.

It's smells quite herbally and as the name implies Aromatic. absorbs quickly into the skin.

Aromatic moisturizer with SPF

Moisturizer enriched with plant extracts unique and complex vitamins that help balance hydration and sunscreen SPF - 30 protection from the sun that cause the development of spots, skin lesions and melanoma (a type of skin cancer).

What the product promises:

The cream reduces damage from air pollution and exposure to the sun and thus helps to overcome the signs of skin aging. Use when you go out to the sun. 

Apply desired amount on a clean face and massage until absorbed , the cream is easily absorbed and leaves the skin smooth ,supple and glowy.

The cream is suitable as supportive and complementary treatment of skin discolorations and brightening treatment.

I love moisturizers that has a built in sunblock. This one like all others smells herbally as well. It has the perfect texture it's very light and easily absorbs to the skin. And most importantly it doesn't have the repulsive smell of a sunblock. 

Aromatic Eye Cream

Extra Gentle Eye Cream which contains specific plant extracts, complex vitamins and fatty acids.

What the product promises:

The cream is easily applied and gently softens the skin and helps reduce wrinkles around the eyes.

Suitable for all skin types.

This is a very gentle eye cream it doesn't feel heavy and absorbs quickly. Like the others this one is no exception and smells herbally. I also like the fact that it contains a lot amount of product (30 ml).

All Rashel products came in a glass container. The serum came with a convenient pump and the others with a screw cap. It definitely feels sturdy and makes an impression of a high end product. I really appreciate that all products have a specific expiration date and not just a "shelf life". 

I will continue using these products for the next week or two and will share with you my favorite products in my next Rashel post with a more full review of the products.
